Jeff Brink, a Physics and Chemistry at Ridgefield High School, has 27 years of teaching and coaching experience. He graduated from Western Washington University in 1991 and received his master’s degree in 1998. Outside of teaching Jeff has a passion for design and building. He has remodeled several homes in Ridgefield and built two others before he became a teacher. Jeff will be working with the Mechanicals Team and the Business Team.
Steve Rinard, Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Washington State University in 2007. He has been teaching at Ridgefield HS since 2008. Steve has taught mathematics and recently began teaching Introduction to Engineering and Design and Computer Science Principles. Steve will be working with the Programming Team and the Event Drive Team.
Stephanie Horn, Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Washington State University in 2015. She has been teaching at Ridgefield High School since 2017. Stephanie teaches mathematics and has a big passion for getting other girls passionate about math and science. She has a lot to learn about robotics but is excited to get started!
Chris Shipp is the new woods and metal CTE teacher at Ridgefield High School. He brings many years of design and fabrication experience to the team. His design projects include jet engine parts for Boeing, fire sprinkler systems, and commercial/residential design. For the past few years Chris has been building and running computer controlled fabrication machines. Chris will be working with the Drive System Team.
Chad Stryker is an electrical hardware engineer who designs and tests printed circuit assemblies. He is currently employed by Tektronix Inc. in Beaverton, OR to develop circuitry for electronic test equipment. During his career, Chad has also designed and developed electronics for notebook computers, commercial printers and motorcycle dashboards. Chad has been part of the Ridgefield community since 2002.
Rich Recker works for Autodesk, Inc. as a project manager. He has an extensive background in operational process development, requirements gathering, and systems implementations. Rich has more than 15 years of experience in technology project implementations including internal systems deployments and customer facing software implementations. He is a certified Project Management Practitioner (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
Kris Holter is a machinist/fabricator who manufacturers parts from engineered prints. He is currently working for Applied Motion Systems in Vancouver, WA. The company designs machinery for manufacturing companies such as Georgia Pacific, Leatherman Tool and Boeing. He has been a machinist for over 25 years, working for other companies such as Columbia Machine and Paul Schurman Machine.
Donald Nelson is a machinist who manufacturers parts from CNC code and operates a large milling machine. He is currently working for Boeing in Gresham Oregon. The Boeing designs and builds commercial aircraft. He has been a machinist for 3 years and is a graduate from Machining Technology at Clark College. Don also has an A.S. degree in Business Administration.
Rob Costa is a Systems Analyst on a web/software development team at Fidelity National Financial. The team develops/supports the company’s CRM software. Rob analyses code and logic for new software features/products as well as for troubleshooting bugs. He also performs online code repository maintenance and code compiling/deployment. Rob has a degree in Computer Networking, as well as schooling in Electrical Engineering.
Bryan Caddy, is a Senior Information Security Engineer and Compliance professional for Fisher Investments. He has extensive experience in infrastructure engineering and architecture. Also Bryan has a-lot of experience with internet security of software products hosted in the cloud and data centers. He is certified and or trained in ISO27001 Lead Implementer certification , Hippa / HiTrust Compliance trained, Payment Card Industry (PCI) implementer, and a member of the FBI Infra-guard community organization protecting key infrastructure in the US. He participates in several local and national security related forums and groups. His hobby is making stuff with his 3D printers for his triplet boys.
